Home to Katherine during World War I, Bandol, France

My daughter Amie visits us in France and she comes with me to Bandol. We stay at a pension on the edge of the Mediterranean and only a short walk from Villa Pauline where Katherine wrote some of her best stories. I feel Katherine’s spirit slipping under my skin as I walk the streets she walked. I feel now that I can give her story justice and write it with integrity. I feel I know Katherine as well as I can know her.
