Back to Manhattan - Land of the Giants
Back at my loft in Manhattan, I have just reread the first chapter. I don't like it. Neither Katherine nor Ida nor Jack were comfortable in the 21st century, nor was I.
In between editing jobs to pay for my writing habit, I start a second draft by moving my characters back into the early 20th century where they are more comfortable. The bulk of the work will be done next summer when I have a solid block of uninterrupted time to write in France.
In the summers, my husband, a musician, and I retreat to southern France to plant and then harvest our most creative work. We bring our harvest back to the States to sell on the open market—the entertainment industry.
